This image shows a bespoke piece that was commissioned from a shutter company for a private home in the South UK. We all know about canvas printing or custom wallpapers, but this gorgeous shutter enlivens the home of a regular Jo in England. They wanted to pimp their windows and had some pretty reasonable wooden blinds up in the first place. Pimp my Windows were called in to see how we could match their interior design style with some new fashionable statement custom coverings. After some research and a lot of debate we came up with a few solutions and the master bedroom had these installed by a local Shutterly Fabulous company who can manufacture custom shutters for the client.
We negotiated a great rate for installation of these shutters and designed together with their in-house designer worked up these interior shutters which not only stood out from the crowd, but expressed their sentiments of nationality and community. By all accounts they have had a great reception in the street, with people stopping to take photos and have a chat, which does go to show that the value of your home could increase with the right window treatments. The same shutter company we used for this interiors project provides custom finishes for their customers however perhaps they are not always in tune with the pure expressionism which we find ourselves seeking out. Naturally liaising with the customer helps, taking time to meet and look at the space where the windows are and what light they let in to the room is essential.
